Play Pen and Additions

The Bird's Home Renovation

This is their sixth day and there are some minor changes that happened again.

To start with, Dad opened the hole to the wooden box, so that they could hide there while he's doing the renovation and never be stressed. It was surprising that they didn't just dived right into the box to hide. They hesitated a bit. Well, I think it's because they have been outside the box for so long, and they adapted to live outside without hiding. Dad placed an orange water pipe cut into small piece (I think) on the far right corner of the cage. This tube is where they sit and they would sometimes cram themselves up, together inside it even though they do not fit that much.

Dad also dismantled the long wood where the birds always hang out which made me so mad! He instead split it into half which he then made into another hanging step coming from the side, and the other one as a stair to stand on when they drink water because the container is a bit deep for them. We also rearranged the feeding and water container in another position to change it up a little bit. I saw them sleeping with their heads bowed which answered my question on how the love birds sleep.

There's also a cuttlebone that had been added, which dad said that the birds could eat and it's a good source of calcium for birds. I've researched that it's a bird accessory which, other than supporting the bird's calcium intake, practices beak and jaw exercises.

Here's the reference link for the cuttlebone informations:

My Lovely Bird

It is the birds 5th day at my house! Yay!

I did not make, the past two days, a birdie update beacause I think I make other contents or alternate my blog posts.

Anyway, on the bird's 3rd day, the birds always play outside, the birds always play outside, they could probably recognize my family, and they ate malunggay leaves. Dad said that the birds make the stems as their nest.

Yesterday was the same as the third day but they seem to be playing tag, and make more loud noises. The female bird's beak also changed to red. They're still cute as always.

This day, they are eating, playing with each other, and staying by themselves side by side. It's nice to see them together. And also, I noticed that they always grab at the side of the pen, or at the top of the cage's ceiling. I don't know if they get dizzy in some way but I know that they're ok. Dad said it's natural to them beacause they're playful.

With that all said, thank you all for reading on my blog! Be sure to come back for more blog updates! Bye!

A New Mineclash!

It is a new minclash challenge! Stacy and Graser has a minecraft series called mineclash. The mineclash series is over but they also post some extras for some events, for example, new updates on minecraft, world events like Christmas specials, and more.

So this time, It's the brown mooshroom challenge where they have to find a newly added mob, the brown mooshroom. To get the brown mushroom, you'll have to struck a mooshroom with a channeling trident. And to make a channeling trident, they'll have to find the provided wandering traders with the channeling book that they trade.

There are some tools and food that are provided. These are an iron sword, a stack of pumpkin pie, a lead, a name tag that has the name Giraffe, a frostwalker chainmail boots, and lastly, the trident (which has no enchants).

Their goal is to get a brown mooshroom, name it Giraffe, be the first person to put them in their pen, then also press the TP button. To win!

Who would win? StacyPlays or Graser?

My Ukulele Adventure!

Ukulele is a four-stringed instrument which is played by plucking or strumming the strings. I have my own ukulele. My family bought it for me as a Christmas gift. It was always my request to them, and they granted it.

It has been my third month playing the ukulele. I practiced every weekends so that I could improve as time goes by. Learning and remembering the chords are the most important and very hard to do, but once you practice you'll get the hang of it. Every chord have finger positions which you also need to familiarize yourself.

Now, I am making a song accompanied by my ukulele just for my own. My singing voice is a bit of a disaster but my ukulele skills are pretty much an average, if I may say so. Here is a picture of my ukulele:

It is a beachman ukulele in the size of soprano.(Btw, ukulele has different sizes, there are concert, soprano, baritone, sopranino sizes and others). It is made with ABS plastic, from body to headstock. It's strings are aquila strings with a linen cloth bag for carrying. The ukulele's original tuning pegs are color black, but sadly I broke them. So I replaced them with white metal tuning pegs.

I bought it on Lazada here

Webtoon!

Someone asked me to visit this link because she said that this is a website where she reads webtoon, specifically my friend Zam. Webtoon is an online platform where you can read some comic-like stories. These stories are made by various people around the world. Every webtoon story has different characters, authors, artstyles and genre. The genres that I encountered are mostly drama, action, slice of life, romance, and fantasy also. Some stories have translations to other languages, but some does not. Some authors also adds some custom sound track for every part of the story, which gives more feels to the story.

I've been reading ther for about a year now and I love each stories that suits my taste. If you also want to read, here is the link to Webtoon --> https://www.webtoons.com/en/

The stories that my friend suggested to me was:

  1. unORDINARY a fantasy story made by Uru-chan. It is up every Thursday.
  2. Tower of God also a fantasy story made by SIU. It has some translations and is up every Monday.
  3. I Love Yoo which is a romace story made by Quimchee. It is up every Friday.
And these are the stories that I came across together with the three stories:

  1. The Four of Them a drama story by Mai Hirschfeld. Up every Monday.
  2. Cape of Spirits a fantasy story made by Elie Byun and Kristina Nguyen. Up every Wednesday.
That's all for this blog post. Don't forget to come back for more updates! Bye!

Another Possible Hobby

Hello! This is Alinsky. I just want to share something that might be added to this blog. As I was surfing on youtube, I found a youtuber which makes charms out of polymer clay. It made my crafty senses activate and I think I would like to give it a try. I saw on the video that it needs to have an oven because you'll have to bake the cake, which my mom had. Well, it just passed through my mind.
Anyways, thank you for reading my entry! Don't forget to check back here for more posts, updates and more! That's all for now. Bye!

Feathery Friend's Second Day

Their Second Day!
It's the second day of the love birds! Yay! There are some changes that happened. Yesterday, Papa blocked the entrance to the birds' wooden box. Dad did that because they always hide there and would never go out meet and greet with us. So, yeah that's done. Another one is I could see the couple and they are not hiding anymore! Earlier, as I am watching them from the door, they stood at the corner of the enclosure. As always, they make loud noises. But they're cute and they look well together. They play and roam around their house. I watch them eat their bird seeds and drink water.

My birdies are adapting to their new home, a bit nicely. But they really want to hide in their box. Especially when they see me. (Am I really that scary? Probably. A bit) The birds always fly around the cage and would hang onto the steel enclosure when they are startled. Dad said that they'll calm down when you call them, mimicking their voice. He said that cat calling them in a soft tone would calm them down, but it's hard for me to do. Instead, I came up with another way, whistling. Whistling like the bird's voice also. It kinda works for them, I think. Hopefully, next week they'll be familiar with me, and never be stressed and scared from me.

As I've said, they're so cute! Like now that they're asleep. The male bird leans on the female bird that made it even more cute! I noticed also that the bird also opens and closes their beak, as if they're talking en though they are sleeping.

These are all of the bird updates for now. As I'm typing, they are now awake which means there's more incoming noises ad cuteness. Thank you so much for reading! Don't forget to come back and read my latest posts here on my blog.

I still don't have a name for them yet so any suggestions would be appreciated. And also a correction, their colors are white and greyish blue (I can't tell because of the light) which is the male bird, and the yellow and green bird which is the female bird. They are also an African love birds. Until the next post! Bye!

Our New Bird!

My Feathery Friends

    We have two love birds!

I have a white and gray feathered bird with it's green and red (I think) partner. My father bought them from his friend's shop. When I first heared that my father would buy the love birds, I was so excited because this is the first time to have a pet. The birds arrived here, at our house, yesterday but I didn't have the time to welcome them because I was sleeping at that time. It was nighttime when dad brought them.

The birds are shy and would never go out of the wooden box beside the cage. They always hide there. They seemed to be startled when there is someone who is looking at them. Our door also makes loud noises which also makes them hide. I hope they adapt to their new home happily.

Their home is a rectangular stainless steel with a black tray underneath. The tray serves as a poop catcher so it would never fall down the floor. Dad also made a wooden box and placed it on the side of the cage so that the birds would have a place to place their egg. There are two short and one elongated shaped would attached on each sides inside. The cage also has a little tree at the center with no leaves, some hanging ring binder and also a swing so they could hang out and play together.

The couple are very cute! and they make high pitched noises. I hope I could see them play around their home because it makes me happy. I'll take a picture of them if I can. Anyway, thanks for reading guys! Until the next post! Bye!

Sqaishey Quack

Hello internet! This blog is a little bit different than any of my posts here. So, today's post is about my youtube series that I am currently watching. I'll start it first with Sqaishey. Sqaishey is a cheerful duckie that is always ready to have fun, she plays minecraft and made her latest minecraft series that I am watching today! I think as I've posted this, it would be her 5th episode on her "A World for Me" series.

This is her series this time around because of her health. She decided to stay away for a bit on making a series to give herself a break. I've been following her since I found her on the internet and loved her until now. I still support her until now and hopefully she is now fully recovered!

Check her out here --> https://www.youtube.com/user/sqaishey/

  A World For Me:

I hope she continues this because I really love Sqaishey and the videos she post. If she does, I'll be watching all of it until the last episode! And I hope you do too! Right now she has another series where she is playing "Tiny Bird Garden," for all of the bird lovers like me!

That's all for today. Thank you for reading! See you on the next post!

Happiest Day of my Crochet Life!!

I got home from a very busy and stressful school. But then I opened my Ravelry Account, and got a message from someone. I read it and I was shocked of what I saw. Lee Ives, a very generous ravelry friend, bought a pattern from Aradiyatoys and gifted it to me.. August 15 is my birthday but I got an early birthday gift. Lee if you are reading, thank you so much for the gift. I hope you could make other people as happy as me. Even now that I am typing this, I'm still so happy.

Lee Ives designed the Home Sweet Home filet crochet pattern. You could visit her website, here.
Or on her Ravelry Account, here. You could also make her Home Sweet Home filet crochet, if you wish.

It's Done!!!

This is my first ever filet crochet and I am so happy... This is what it looked like..

My Home Sweet Home is now done but it has not been blocked and haven't added a border line, as you can see in the picture, but I would get to that when I have the time and I don't have a mat to place it onto.. I will be making another filet crochet so come back next week for more crochet projects..
Bye!!! :)

Sorry if it is too short. I hope you still liked it. If you also wanted  to make this pattern yourself, you could go to Lee Ives' Ravelry account, here. Thank you for reading.

Filet Crochet

Hello everyone, and welcome back to another crochet project. As you have read earlier I made the Home Sweet Home Filet Crochet from Lee Ives. She made it in color white but I made mine green. I am at the underneath letters of the SWEET letters.

I finished the HOME letters yesterday evening. After I post this I would be continuing this filet crohet so that I could finish it early. And I can add the borders outside. If you are also going to make this, you have to block this so that it lays flat.

That'S all for today. I hope you like my contents, if you do please help me with these patterns on my wishlist. It is much appreciated. Come back next week for another crochet projects. Have a great day! Goodbye!! :)

A New Discovery

Yesterday, after I posted my content, I went to ravelry to view my favorites and then I saw that I have a favorite pattern that has Filet Crochet. I did not know when I added that to my favorites but it made me curious of what the concept of it was. So I opened google next and typed Filet Crochet then I clicked the one which would take you to craftsy, and the I read all the information that is with it. After that I printed the pattern that is in my favorites and made the project. Here is what it's looking like so far.

This was a pattern from Lee Ives. It is the Home Sweet Home Filet Crochet. It uses a 1.3 mm crochet hook and uses a thread.

Next week, I would update you of what it looks like so stay tuned for more crochet projects. Have a Great Day! :) Bye!!

I'm Back!!!!

Hello everyone and welcome back to my blog. First of all, as you can see in my blog I changed backgrounds. I liked this picture because it makes the background more colorful and fitting for my contents. It also has different designs. But let me know if it bothers you or anything.

I made two doilies that I liked the designs but it is from Notikaland and Creative Grandma from youtube. Actually, the one that I made from Notikaland is a crochet motif for a table cloth but it is also a doily.

This is the Fanfare doily that I made:

©CraftyAlinsky

It is made from monaco thread in color light green and I used a size 1 or 1.60 mm steel crochet hook . This is the first ever doily that I made and I made it roughly 7 hours or so. It also has 11 rows... Anyway this is a video tutorial on youtube, click here or you could go to her website and look for more beautiful and unique patterns, click here.

Next one is the doily motif:

©CraftyAlinsky

It is also made from a monaco thread in color pink and I used a size 1 or 1.60 mm steel crochet hook . Unlike the first doily, I made it in 2 days. It is easy to do and it only has 9 rows. If you also want to make this doily/motif, you can find it the first part. here, and the second part, here.

Also, if you liked my contents please help me in my wishlists on Ravelry, I really want any of the pattern. Thank you for your help! :)

My Wishlist is here.

That is all the projects that I have made for now. Be sure to come backe next time for another crochet and knitting projects. Have a great day!

I changed my profile picture on Ravelry. I designed it to be that simple. Let me know what you think about it in the comment section below.

I am also thinking if I wanted to change my blogger picture too.

That is all for this weekend!! On weekdays I would go to school, so I would post another one next weekend. Thank you for reading my entries and come back again next weekend.
Have a nice day!! Bye!! :)

If you are new to my blog, you could read them here, or scroll down.

You could also visit my Ravelry account and help me with my wishlist so that I could show them out to you and thank you for gifting it to me. Just pick one please. That is all I wanted for my birthday.

Project Updates

Hi. I am back for another post for you and this time (as you have read in the title) it's project updates. I'm coming from a sunny but a bit cloudy Philippines. Thank you for giving your time on reading my blog posts, I hope I could always make you happy with just this simple contents.

I am making another project. It is my crochet hook case but it is like my own crochet hook but just a smaller version. I wanted it to have a zipper and a flap so that it has a cover. As usual, I am making it with a Monaco Thread in colors of green and peach. The colors was inspired by the After The Rain Socks from Becky Sorensen.
She is a very talented girl, I hope I could be as talented as her.

I also made 1up mushroom from Olka Novytska. It has a color green and white spots. I think I just messed up the white bits of its eyes. But I still really love it. Sorry if it's glowing too much.

                                                                  ©CraftyAlinsky

If you enjoy what I post, I hope you could help me with my wishlist on Ravelry. Any of those would make me really happy. You could grant it for me as a birthday gift or as a thank you.
